Introduction
This game is totally awesome in every aspect and I'm sure it will make a good impression on nearly everyone who picks it up, even the lame brains who don't believe you can get a good game on a hand held device. Enough of the bush lets get licking.
Gameplay
Ashen has three modes of game play: firstly you have a one player story mode where you Jacob are looking for your sister Vanessa who has discovered some sought of myth in the form of a lost city. You start in a deserted ruined city called seven river city. You come up against some really strange creatures, starting with a spider type creature all the way to massive rhino type, but no need to worry about them because you will be able to get your hand on a complete arsenal of weapons such shot guns to a big momma of a chain gun. In the story mode there is a massive eight chapters each filled with nasty monsters to blow to bits and each chapter has its own objective(s), if you find that all to easy, which I don't think you will there is three levels of difficulty. Secondly there is the bluetooth multi-player death match which is so incredibly fun that I can say its as good as golden eye on the N64 and that's no bull. There are 4 great maps to choose from, each map has a different selection of weapons. Finally there is the N-gage arena mode which I can't tell you about because I haven't had the joy of experiencing it yet, but I can only imagine it's a right laugh.
Graphics
The graphics are what you expect from a FPS engine nothing new except on a handheld device. The scenery has it dark bits along with its light bits, although I have noticed that sometimes when there is a lot of action on the screen the game does slow down a little bit. But this happens very rarely and does not spoil the fun of the action!
Sound
This is the best part of the game and whilst playing the game the sounds can freak you out a little! It almost feels although your in the game itself especially when you hear a creature in the room which you can't see! There something to think about folks! The sound does definitely create the best atmosphere for the game.
Lastability
The game will have you on the device for a very long time! I played it for a month and completed it on easy. But I'm guessing that if it was on the hard setting it would take you more time even if you are a FPS freak!
Conclusion
This is a very good game and is a must for your N-Gage Device. Not many games are worth buying for the prices but this is game definitely worth buying.
